Paroxysm IV. Desolation V. Cimmerian Cry Give me a God to save me From the veil that covers my eyes The void of space seems cold and lifeless As my body drifts toward the force Gravity pulls me forward The tear in our existential plane The door between what is and what could be… VI. The sky is an open book Where your thoughts can go Let them wander far away But keep your eyes on the road Your destination is known But you’re all on your own Your heart must be consoled Your journey remains unknown The stars are the highway A map laid out across the sky Like a woman in the night The moon entices your eye The road is your savior The sky is your friend You are the ghost rider You fight your battles alone Keep the journey when the sun goes down It only changes your perception Let the stars be your new guide They will take you far and wide From the woodlands to the plains No destination heals your pain Ghosts are following close behind But one by one they will disappear Solitude on the road ahead It’s the only direction you can go Nothing left to stop you now Not until your peace is found… The sky is an empty canvas Where your art can go Let your thoughts paint the stroke That will let your troubles go The sun rose in the east When your travels first began But when they settled in the west Your journey had yet to end Still your riding down that road Treading into the unknown You said, “Bring me the horizon” The only place you knew to go Ghosts are following close behind But one by one they will disappear Solitude on the road ahead It’s the only direction you can go Nothing left to stop you now Not until your peace is found… The horizon never ends… The road never ends…

Cityscape 06:32
Sitting at the desk in my hotel room Looking out the window, skyline in view Listening to the rain pour down the glass Sip my drink and watch the city gloom As the crowd’s applause grows thinner Two hours of fame, just a fragment of life A million lives, in New York City Feel the same tired haze... The city that never sleeps Is darker than it should be In the blurred view of the city A million windows A glimpse into another’s life Just another piece of the cityscape A painting for me… Time slows down for those who wish to pass it by On nights like these, memories are my company Three hours past midnight, sleep eludes me too Watching the rain wash away my facade I see a silhouette in another window Reminding me, I’m not alone The sounds of the storm raging outside Calming the nerves of life... The city that never sleeps Is darker than it should be In the blurred view of the city A million windows A glimpse into another’s life Just another piece of the cityscape A painting for me…

Lydia 05:13
Oh love, For she holds dear To the morning glories Light glistens in her hair She was there… Oh love, For she holds dear To the morning glories Light glistens in her hair Lovers of the morning She is the dawn Lovers of the sun He thinks they’re one But now she’s gone For they were one Until the end…

I watch in awe As it speeds on toward me The moment’s too late But not yet gone And all I can do Is wait for it to come The words that Must be heard I know what she’s Going to do But it’s too late now For me to run away There’s nothing left To hide me from her There’s no way I can Escape my fate Like a screaming bullet I see the opportunity soaring by Like a bolt of lightning I watch the moment pass me by Is it all over now? Or is she reloading? Has the moment got her going? Is it all gone now? Or is she beginning? What she said still echoes and rings Her guns are loaded and she’s ready to fire Her sights are homed, and she’s aimed at me She’s got a weapon that’s made to kill The screaming bullet that’s out to get me Too far off the ledge My conscience fell away Senses stripped of edge Non-perceptual arrays I see the gun Inside her hand The teeth and tongue At her command She’s got a smile A weapon of her choice There’s nothing I can do because She’s got me under too My blood is drained of color As she sets her sights on me She’s got the power to Put another clip in me Like a knife to a gunfight I cannot run and I can’t hide Like a ship that’s run ashore I cannot move, I’m frozen in sight Dreaming… Preparing me mentally Dreaming… The only escape left for me Dreaming… Subconscious ecstasy My psyche… The barrier that protects me Is it all over now? Or is she reloading? Has the moment got her going? Is it all gone now? Or is she beginning? What she said still echoes and rings Her guns are loaded and she’s ready to fire Her sights are homed, and she’s aimed at me She’s got a weapon that’s made to kill The screaming bullet that’s out to get me Dreaming… Preparing me mentally Dreaming… The only escape left for me Dreaming… Subconscious ecstasy My psyche… The barrier that protects me The screaming bullet that’s out to get me…

Red Skies 08:26
When we say goodbye Please don’t cry When I walk on by Please don’t sigh We had a good time Please don’t lie Please don’t spy Under the dim red skies So far away We’ve gone out of touch It’s been so long You’re out of my mind You were gone… away But not for too long Like memories lost in the dust… Run away to the edge of my soul Cast away to the winds of change The piece of me that’s long since gone To run away from the hands of fate To forget the past for comfort’s sake Freedom lies on the road ahead But where to go, is left unsaid Is left unsaid… Do you see how it’s suppose to be? Do you recognize me? Can you see what it could be? The path you are ignoring Do you see what you’re doing? Trying to avoid the sun from rising Can you see your vision growing? Dream don’t pass me by… You think you’re doing right But now you’re on the other side But now you became The thing you once denied You think you’re doing right But now you’re crying inside But now you’re standing on the bridge Attempting suicide Things will get better When the stars align But for now you better Wait until the fire dies There’s more to life Than meets the eye So you better live While you still have time Step back from that rocky ledge Think of what you’ll leave behind Step back from your sudden end Look at me and take my hand… To see the world from another’s eyes When the sun breaks through these cloudy skies The light streams down for only you and I Along these faded skies The faded skies… Under the dim red skies…
